- 1 Block Extra Firm Tofu
- 3 Tbsp Hot Water
- 2 Tbsp Almond Butter
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 2 Tbsp Tamari or Soy Sauce
- 2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
- 2 Tbsp Chili Garlic Sauce
- 2 tsp Ginger
- 2 tsp Sugar or Agave Syrup
- 2 tbsp Neutral Oil for Cooking (we use avocado oil)
Instructions
- Press and drain tofu to remove excess water.
- Mince garlic and ginger.
- Cut tofu into 1 inch cubes.
- In small bowl combine garlic, ginger, sugar, almond butter, tamari or soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili garlic sauce.
- Add hot water gradually while whisking until mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons oil on medium heat.
- Cook tofu until crispy and golden brown on all sides.
- When tofu is crispy and golden brown, lower heat to low setting and add almond butter sauce.
- Toss tofu in the sauce until fully coated and sauce has started to slightly thicken.
- Serve over rice with desired veggies.
