- 1 Package Pre-made Pizza Dough
- 1 Can Young Jackfruit
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Broth
- 1 cup Vegan Cheese (I used Miyoko's Mozzarella)
- 1 1/2 cups Barbecue Sauce
- 1/2 cup Red Onion (Diced or Sliced)
- 1/4 cup Green Onions (chopped) (Chopped)
- 1/4 cup Cilantro
- 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Dried Chili Flakes
- 1/4 cup Vegan Ranch Dressing (I used Follow Your Heart Ranch Dressing)
Instructions
BBQ Jackfruit
- Drain, rinse and separate jackfruit into small “shredded” pieces and remove seeds.
- In a medium saucepan on medium heat, add water, vegetable broth, and jackfruit.
- Bring to boil. Lower heat to simmer until liquid has almost fully evaporated.
- Remove from heat. Stir in ¼ of barbecue sauce.
Pizza
- Preheat oven to 450℉
- On a floured surface, roll out pizza dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Brush dough with a thin layer of olive oil.
- Evenly distribute remaining barbecue sauce.
- Top with vegan cheese, red onions, and jackfruit.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
- Allow pizza to cool for 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with green onions, cilantro, and red pepper flakes.
- Drizzle with ranch dressing.
