These vegan chocolate chip cookies are soft, chewy, simple to make, and don’t need a ton of ingredients to make. So chocolatey and delicious that no one will be able to tell they’re egg and dairy-free.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Vegan Butter
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 cup Vegan Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 ℉.
  2. Add the vegan butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar to a mixing bowl. Using an electric hand or stand mixer with a whisk attachment, cream together the butter and sugars.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and applesauce and continue to whisk until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Add the chocolate chips and mix by hand until they are well incorporated.
  7. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, roll 2-3 tablespoons of the cookie dough into a ball and place each dough ball about 2 inches apart onto a cookie sheet lined with aprchment paper.
  8. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool and rest for 3-5 minutes before serving.
