Crispy Baked Tofu

Description

Crispy baked tofu is easy to make without needing an air fryer and is much healthier than deep frying. Made with only 4 simple ingredients, these delicious bites can be made in 30 minutes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Block Extra or Super Firm Tofu
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce (or tamari)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the over to 420℉.
  2. Cut the tofu into ½-inch, bite-sized cubes.
  3. Add the tofu and soy sauce to a container with a lid and gently shake the container to coat all of the tofu.
  4. Allow the tofu to marinate in the soy sauce for at least 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the olive oil over the tofu, cover, and shake the tofu again to coat it with the oil.
  6. Add the cornstarch, cover, and give the tofu one last gentle toss to fully coat it.
  7. Spread the tofu in an even layer onto a parchment lined baking sheet, being sure that no cubes are touching.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, then turn off the oven and allow the tofu to continue baking for 5 additional minutes.
  9. Remove the tofu from the oven and allow it to cool before serving.
