About Vina!

 Hi, I’m Vina! I’m a quirky, plant-forward, curly girl from Southern California. While experiencing physical and mental health issues over the past few years, I began to rethink my view on how I was living my life—working tirelessly, feeling stressed on most days, never really being conscious of how I treated my body or even how I treated myself. This was no way to live; one day, I realized I’d had enough.  I knew there had to be more to life than this state.

    Now, I am incredibly passionate about living a fully rounded existence.  In conscious pursuit of all of the things that make a whole, happy and healthy life.  Everything from nutrition and self-care, to fitness and work-life balance. Knowing that I am far from the only one facing physical and mental health issues, I want to share this journey with all of you.  My hope is that in my quest to find and manifest my best self, you are able to do the same. That Quirky Pineapples will inspire you to share your story, find healing, take time off, eat mindfully, find time for just you, go for a run, and anything else that you need most to grow and thrive and to be your happiest self, living a beautifully whole life.

Welcome to Quirky Pineapples! I’m so glad you’re here!  Here at Quirky Pineapples, you can find vegan and plant-based recipes that are simple to make but don’t skip on the flavor. I like to focus on easy-to-make recipes that are great for plant-based beginners and seasoned cooks alike. I am a former baker and my absolute favorite meal of the day is breakfast, so you’ll notice a lot of great bakery-style recipes here and loads of great breakfast ideas.

Here at Quirky Pineapples, you can also find some great tips for sustainable living (especially in the kitchen), as well as some great recommendations for non-toxic home and personal products.

I also enjoy travel and LOVE to eat when I travel. I know how difficult it can be to find restaurants that offer a wide variety of plant-based options, so lucky for you, as I find them, I definitely will share them.
