WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE VEGAN CHICKEN WHITE SAUCE PIZZA

  • Pizza Dough: store bought is just fine to keep things simple.
  • Vegan Alfredo Sauce: I’ve found it difficult to find a store-bought version that I like. So I make my own cashew alfredo sauce.
  • Vegan Mozzarella: I prefer Miyoko’s brand, but if you don’t have access to this one, any brand that you like will work well.
  • Vegan Chicken: For this recipe, I used the Daring brand, but again, if you don’t have access to this one, any other brand that you enjoy will work fine or you could even opt for soy curls.
  • Crimini or Baby Bella Mushrooms: for a great umami flavor.
  • Canned Tomatoes: These are sweet and juicy and add a lot to this pizza.
  • Garlic: because we can’t have a pizza without some aromatics.
  • Olive Oil: to add flavor to the crust and avoid burning it.
  • Vegan Parmesan: to add an extra cheesy garnish.

HOW TO MAKE VEGAN CHICKEN WHITE SAUCE PIZZA

  1. Roll out the dough.  On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough until it is about 10 inches in diameter and ¼ inch thick.
  2. Prepare the toppings.  Slice the mushrooms, thinly slice the garlic, grate the mozzarella cheese, drain the can of tomatoes and chop into ½-inch pieces.
  3. Brush the dough. Brush the dough with a thin layer of olive oil to the edge of the crust.
  4. Add the sauce. Spread the sauce evenly and leave about 1 inch uncovered around the edge.
  5. Top the pizza with mozzarella, tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, and vegan chicken.
  6. Bake the pizza at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Finish it with a little (or a lot) of finely grated vegan parmesan.
  8. Let it Cool before serving.

TIPS AND TRICKS

  • This pizza can take quite a bit of time. So prepare the sauce in advance to save on prep time.
  • Allow your pizza dough to sit out for about 30 minutes to reach room temperature. This makes it a lot easier to roll out and maintain its shape.
  • If you choose to use the mozzarella that I used for this recipe, put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes before grating. This makes it smoother to grate, but it’s totally optional.

  • This crispy buffalo tofu cutlet with creamy cucumber celery salad is indulgently saucy, crunchy, and delicious without being too heavy. Ingredients You’ll Need: Tofu: I prefer super firm tofu for the best texture Dairy-Free Milk: I used almond milk but any unsweetened kind will work. Panko Bread Crumbs: for the nice crunchy coating Oil: Any neutral high-heat oil is fine. I like to use canola or avocado oil. Buffalo Sauce: I used the Primal Kitchen brand. Cornstarch: this will make the cutlets extra crispy Soy Sauce: will add flavor to the tofu as a marinade. Toppings: I like to top this with my creamy cucumber celery salad and sprinkle of vegan feta. How to Make Crispy Buffalo Tofu Cutlets w/Creamy Cucumber Celery Salad: Slice the pressed tofu into 4 equal slabs. Add the tofu to a shallow container and drizzle soy sauce on both sides of each of the cutlets, being sure to evenly distribute the sauce as much as possible. Cover the container with the lid and gently shake it to cover all of the cutlets with the sauce even more. Refrigerate and allow the tofu to marinate for at least 30 minutes. While the tofu is marinating, prepare 3 shallow dishes that are big enough for the tofu. The first is for the cornstarch, the second for the plant milk, and the last dish for the breadcrumbs. Coat each tofu cutlet on each side by dipping them into the cornstarch first, then the vegan milk, and last the breadcrumbs. Feel free to press the breadcrumbs into the tofu to help it stick. Set aside. Heat a medium-sized skillet with the oil on medium heat. Fry the tofu cutlets on both sides for 2-3 minutes each or until they are dark golden brown and crispy. Remove each tofu cutlet from the skillet and place them on a paper-towel-lined plate or a cooling rack to drain the excess oil. Brush each side of the cutlets with a generous amount of buffalo sauce. Top with the creamy cucumber celery salad and vegan feta. Serve & Enjoy! More Tofu Recipes You’ll Love:
